Weekly Photo Challenge – Illumination

There’s nothing better than seeing the LED Hornady sign in our back room illuminated.  To me it’s a small representation of what I accomplished in 2012.

My husband grew up in a completely non-hunting family.  But they have embraced me and my hobbies like some of my own family hasn’t.  Before my Grandmum-In-Law passed a few years ago, she bought me a blown glass deer for Christmas.  She was shopping and saw it and immediately thought of me.  It’s the little things in life that mean the most to me.  And a thoughtful gesture like that one was top on the list.  I think of her every time I see the figure and I love the light as it illuminates the curves in the glass.

    Carrie,
How wonderful! I love the big H, for all it represents and the light that comes from it, of course, but the light it represents too, today in this unsure world.

It blows the mind what is accomplished, what we as individuals can do…when we choose to work …HARD, and that is what you did. I am so proud of you! We may not be together, but I am sure you can hear me cheering from here!

I, also, love those thoughtful, “reminded me of of you” gifts or surprises… The deer is phenomenal, the light seems to come from within it… what a lovely gift.

Keep on keepin on, my friend. You are making a difference.
